What does an academic advisor do and how do I find mine?

Each student is assigned an academic advisor (a faculty member) who approves your course registration, helps you plan your programme, and signs certain forms. You can usually see your advisor in the student system after registration, or ask your department secretariat. Approach your advisor early in the term for registration approval and whenever you are unsure about course choices or academic rules.
