When and how does course registration work at METU?

Course registration is done online through METU's student system during the registration period in the academic calendar, followed by an add/drop period at the start of the semester. You select courses (subject to prerequisites, quotas, and your advisor's approval where required) and then confirm. First-year students often have a largely set first-semester programme.
