Do my documents need to be translated into Turkish?

Foreign documents such as diplomas and transcripts often need an approved Turkish translation to be accepted for official procedures. Translations are usually done by a sworn translator (yeminli tercüman) and, depending on the procedure, may also need notarisation. Requirements differ by document and office, so confirm exactly what translation and certification each procedure needs with the relevant office (for example the Registrar for admission documents) before paying for translations.
