Course content

Review of basic statistics. Distribution-free statistics, ranking statistics, U statistics. Large sample theory for U statistics. Tests based on runs. Asymptotic relative efficiency of tests. Hypothesis testing, point and interval estimation. Goodness of fit, rank-order (for location and scale), contingency table analysis and relevant models. Measures of association, analysis of variance. Prerequisite: Consent of department
