How emotions emerge and change from infancy through childhood by bringing together theoretical, neurobiological, and social perspectives: Major emotion theories, methodological challenges and contemporary tools used in affective science, neural and physiological mechanisms, developmental changes in discrete emotions such as anger, fear, joy, and self-conscious emotions and how these changes are shaped by culture and family contexts.
