Approximation methods; multiple time scale, Poincare perturbation, Krylov and Bogoliubov methods. Describing function analysis. Stability of nonlinear systems; Lyapunov theory, Aizerman's and Kalman's conjectures, Lure's problem, Popov, circle and parabola criteria.
