Course content
This course will examine in depth the background and the consequences of Turkey`s involvement in regional politics. The regions to be covered include the Transcaucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia), Russia, the Persian Gulf (inc. Iran and Saudi Arabia), eastern Mediterranean (Syria, Iraq, Israel and Palestine), Cyprus, the Balkans (inc. Greece, Bulgaria and others). Two additional areas the course will focus include the Turkey-EU accession process, and Turkey`s relations with the EU.
