Course content

The course introduces students to Building Information Modeling (BIM) by exploring its evolution and significance in the construction sector. Students will develop practical skills in BIM software like Revit and Archicad, learning to model simple and multi-step building elements, and edit parametric families. The course covers key topics such as BIM processes, structural and MEP modeling, energy simulation and optimization, and BIM` s role in heritage preservation (HBIM). Students will also examine the costs, benefits, and challenges of BIM implementation, and learn how to create 3D visualizations and detailed renderings of building designs.
